FLACSO Argentina

The Latin American School of Social Sciences (FLACSO for its Spanish acronym), with headquarters in Argentina, has joined INEW to work on finding common objectives that are shared by the two institutions.

One of its programs, called Youth Studies, contemplates research projects such as "Innovation for the Economic Inclusion of Marginalized Youth"; "The Construction of Career Paths for Technical School Graduates: a perspective on the comprehensiveness of training one decade after the Professional Technical Education Law"; "Constructing Autonomy and Social Inequality: trends toward change and reproduction in youth transitions in the early 21st century"; and many more.

It also offers a master's program in "Work Relations and Studies"; the postgraduate course "Youths, Education and Work: New Trends and Challenges"; and an advanced degree in Latin American Youth Politics and Studies. FLACSO has been involved in publishing titles such as Youth, Inequality and Social Change in the Global South; Entre la educación y el trabajo: La construcción cotidiana de las desigualdades juveniles en América Latina [Between Education and Work: The Daily Construction of Youth Inequalities in Latin America]; Sociología de la educación y transición al mundo del trabajo. Juventud, justicia y protección social en la Argentina contemporánea [The Sociology of Education and Making the Transition into the World of Work: Youth, Justice and Social Protection in Contemporary Argentina]; among others.
